JOB OVERVIEW

The Interim Director of Kidz Korner (St. Paul’s before and after school care program) will be responsible for oversight and administrative tasks of running the program from March 2025 through August 2025, with potential for extension.

SUPERVISION

Reports to Lead Pastor

RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                  

PROGRAM

General management of the facility, including the following minimum duties:

• Oversee three Kidz Korner programs: before/after school care, kindergarten enrichment, and summer day camp programming.
• Staff each program to ensure proper oversight at all times, including in the Director’s absence.
• Administer personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation and transportation.
• Plan daily schedule of activities with the group supervisors and assistant group supervisors in school-age program.
• Coordinate with other staff regarding registrations and plans for the upcoming school year.

PARTNERSHIPS

• Participate in church staff meetings as requested by Lead Pastor.
• Represent KK programs to the congregation & community.
• Partner with outside agencies to provide enrichment opportunities
• Work with local schools and school districts sending students

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants who meet one of the following qualification levels will be prioritized:

(1)  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.

(2)  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.

(3)  An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.

(4)  An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children.

All employees must provide or obtain:

(1) Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance

(2) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance

(3) FBI Criminal History Clearance

(4) National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR)

DURATION OF THE ROLE

This is a 6-month position, with potential for extension. We anticipate the Interim Director to be in place by March 2025 and continue through the end of summer programming in Mid-August 2025. Responsibilities will include completing the school year, overseeing a 6-week summer day camp, and preparing for the next school year.

We are also open to job-sharing or temporarily dividing the role into multiple part-time positions.

Potential Salary range: $20-$22 / hour (paid monthly)

St. Paul’s Child Care is looking for part time staff to work in the Allison Park. Responsibilities include interacting on a regular basis, with children between the ages of 6 weeks – 5 years, changing diapers, feeding lunches, activities, and much more!

Candidates:

• Must be able to reliably communte to Allison Park (15101)
• Must have previous experience working with children.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision and taking initiative.
• able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Have a friendly and positive attitude.
• Must be capable of obtaining all clearances required by the State of PA.
• PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, National Sex Offender Registry Clearance, FBI Clearances, National Sex Offender Registry Clearance, and Current Health Assessment with TB test will need to be completed before hire if not already held (current within one year of hire).
• Pass a physical and tb test required by the state.
• Complete mandated reporter training.

Job Type: Part-time (no less than 24 per week)

Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
